Dr. Esther Chin

Dr. Esther Chin is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Assistant Professor, and Global Health Lead in McMaster University’s Department of Ob/Gyn, and the Founding Program Director of McMaster’s Graduate Diploma in Global Surgery. She is President and Co-Founder of STITCH, a portable uterus model now used worldwide to teach lifesaving surgery for postpartum hemorrhage. Dr. Chin has worked clinically in Angola, Guatemala, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, with interests in health equity, surgical systems, maternal health, and medical education.
