Adrian is President and Creative Head of Fourgrounds Media Inc. in St. Catharines—a company he started while he was still a Brock University student. His commitment to offering cutting-edge video production to clients in the Niagara area has paid dividends. Adrian and his team have won several awards, have created many award-winning films, and have helped put Niagara on the filmmaking map. Adrian is Past President of the Board of the Niagara Workforce Board, sits on a variety of committees, and frequently donates to Start Me Up Niagara and the Lincoln County Humane Society.

Alicia Merry

Alicia is the Community Relations Coordinator at Hospice Niagara. Here, she’s responsible for managing the Community Relations team and leading various campaigns. Since joining Hospice, Alicia has implemented a variety of fundraising events to raise money and awareness for hospice services. Alicia has also taken on a volunteer role in the community where she’s involved in several public relations fundraising events, and, in addition, she’s active with several charities including the United Way and Garden City Productions, where she chairs their Social Committee.

Ashley is the Executive Director of the Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region where she oversees the day-to-day operations including program budgeting and increasing awareness of learning disabilities in the community. Ashley has been involved with several Niagara committees including the Public Health Community Planning Committee, the District School Board of Niagara, and the Niagara Resources Project.

Designer Delights is the creation of lifelong best friends Chelsey and Jenna, who turned their childhood dream of owning a business into a thriving cupcake venture. In just two and a half years, they’ve catered hundreds of special events and corporate functions, nearly quadrupling their sales. After starting as a home-based operation while working full-time jobs, they opened their first storefront in Fonthill this past November. Chelsey and Jenna also give back to the community, donating cupcakes and support to many local charities and business organizations across Niagara.

As Executive Director and Founder of the Niagara Sustainability Initiative, Evan is dedicated to helping local businesses adopt sustainable practices. Even his own business idea has reached a level of success, seeing Niagara-based organizations join their regional greenhouse gas inventory program, a collaborative initiative led by Niagara College. As part-time consultant to young professionals, Evan is also heavily involved in the community, taking active roles with the Niagara Climate Change Network and the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation & Energy Committee.

In fact, business has been so good that she opened a second location in February. An active member of the community, Heather supports several organizations and causes like the Rankin Run for the Cure and Ronald McDonald House.

Jessica is Vice-President of Gales Gas Bars & Bob’s Fast & Fresh Convenience, directly overseeing all convenience locations as well as Gales’ Commercial Credit Card accounts. Previously a nurse, Jessica has always been involved in the family business, joining the company full time three years ago. In just three years, Jessica has seen the new convenience stores skyrocket with four stores just being added. Jessica is also honoured to be part of many local community organizations including the Brock Niagara Community Foundation and the Bob Gale Recreation Fund.
