Adrian Kulakowsky

Adrian grew up in Niagara and earned his degree in economics from the University of Toronto. An entrepreneur at heart, he launched Rentals 101 and has spent over a decade revitalizing the local student rental market. In 2009, Adrian became a realtor and later founded Advisors Realty & Consulting. In 2014, he expanded into hospitality with Kully’s Original Sports Bar. A dedicated community supporter, he also volunteers with KidSport Niagara and local sports organizations.

Angela Jamieson

Born in the U.K. and raised in Canada, Angela took a major life leap by moving across the world at age 16. A Georgian College business graduate, she has built a strong career in business administration across multiple industries. Angela joined Brand Blvd in 2010 and quickly advanced, taking on senior leadership roles that fostered her strengths in team building, coaching and operations. She sits on the Wise Girls Committee and proudly calls Niagara home.

Brandon Currie

Born and raised in St. Catharines, Brandon earned an honours marketing co-op degree from Brock University. In 2014, he married his wife Kristen and ran for city council, where he became runner-up in the St. Catharines municipal election. Brandon is the marketing and Canadian sales manager for Wirtz Beverages Ontario, working closely with local bars and restaurants. He also leads the Cocktail in a Box program and remains connected to the Niagara community through volunteer initiatives.

Eric Lamothe

Eric joined United Way Niagara in 2009 and is currently the campaign manager. He works closely with volunteers and donors, leading a passionate team that has helped raise more than $19 million for the community. Eric actively supports NEXTNiagara, Leadership Niagara, and minor-league lacrosse, and co-founded Priceless Niagara. In 2014, he received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce for his contributions to youth and community growth.

At age 23, Jeff travelled to Taiwan to teach English. At 27, he returned home and entered the real estate industry. To better understand commission sales, he began selling cars, working his way up for more than a decade. This experience sharpened his business acumen and technical skills. Marcie Clarkson

Marcie Clarkson is the sales manager for Heart of Niagara Hotels, and the first female president in the 92-year history of JCI St. Catharines. She also serves as the 2015/2016 secretary for Rotary South in St. Catharines. In her spare time, Marcie dedicates herself to various community causes with organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is also a founding committee member of Wise Girls, supporting the Wise Guys Charity Fund. A lifelong Niagara resident, she is passionate about the growth and future of the region.

In 2008, Ryan opened his own agency, Ryan Boese State Farm, which now serves more than 1,000 households across Niagara and Ontario. Scott Macpherson

Dr. Scott Macpherson was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, where he attended Memorial University and earned a bachelor of science in biochemistry and a bachelor of education degree. He completed his chiropractic training at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2009. Dr. Macpherson began his clinical work in Dublin, Ireland, before moving to Niagara Region in 2009. He and his wife, Dr. Tala Spencer-Yap, started the ProActive Centre, which has grown into a diverse team offering chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, athletic therapy, and personal training.

Born in St. Catharines, Stephen is a Sir Winston Churchill alumnus and former “Athlete of the Year” recognized for his accomplishments in hockey and an entrepreneurial spirit. Stephen completed his business degree at Brock University and began his career in financial services shortly after. He is currently a senior investment planner with RBC Royal Bank. In the past three years, he has made his mark by leading strategic planning initiatives and collaborating within the community. Stephen volunteers with multiple organizations including the Niagara Children’s Centre and United Way.

Zijad is a partner at the law firm of Broderick & Partners LLP. He earned his B.A. in 2004 from Brock University and his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group since his call to the Bar in 2009. Dr. Janzen also volunteers at a not-for-profit dental clinic downtown that provides free dental care for marginalized individuals.

Gerry Fonzo is the director of business development and client retention with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club. He received his break in sports management during university and quickly advanced his role with the football club. A Niagara College graduate, she has since trained with L’Oréal, the Aveda Academy in New York City, and has participated in New York Fashion Week events. Her work has been featured in the New York Times on multiple occasions, as well as numerous wedding and lifestyle blogs. Jessica was a NEYA Award recipient in 2014 and is a proud salon owner. She believes helping clients feel confident in their own skin is the most rewarding part of her work.

Justin Downes

Justin began his career at Vineland Estates Winery in 1999 as a kitchen steward while attending Niagara College’s Chef Training program. He quickly progressed, eventually taking on the role of line leader under renowned chef Claudio Aprile. In 2002, Justin attained his Red Seal Certification, and later joined the winery full-time as chef. In 2004, he advanced to chef de cuisine and now serves as executive chef at Vineland Estates Winery. His culinary creativity and leadership have strengthened the winery’s reputation and helped expand relationships with local farmers and producers.

Marty Mako

A social entrepreneur and leader in community health, Marty has worked in public health, government, and non-profit organizations, building partnerships that benefit the Niagara region. He is a McMaster University graduate with a degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree focused on business administration. Marty is active in addressing health risks faced by children and youth, serving as chair of United Way’s GenNext and volunteering with Big Brother and Dog Walker at the Humane Society.

While at college, he developed his passion for music through DJing, eventually performing at festivals and events across North America. A lifelong Niagara resident, Scott grew up in rural Niagara–Beamsville and now lives in St. Catharines. In 2014, Scott was named group managing editor for Metroland West Niagara Region and Niagara This Week, where he leads a talented editorial team producing 10 editions of the newspaper each week. In 2012, Cian co-founded Niagara Oast House Brewers, a craft brewery recognized as one of Ontario’s top breweries. Their products are available at LCBO stores and in more than 300 establishments across the province.

Dawn was born and raised in Niagara. After graduating from Brock University, she earned her Chartered Professional Accountant designation and now serves as senior manager at KPMG. Dawn supports owner-managed businesses and non-profits through accounting, tax and advisory work. She is known for her “yes” attitude when asked to help, and volunteers extensively with Leadership Niagara, the Learning Disabilities Association of Niagara Region, and the Niagara Sustainability Initiative.

Meaghan continues to grow and prides herself on providing hands-on support and creative ideas. She is a strong believer that giving back to the community is vital and is an avid volunteer.
